Moosehead Lake Boat Cruises

BOOK A CRUISE

KATAHDIN CRUISES

Thoreau Wabanaki Cruise From $60

Experience a special Thoreau-Wabanaki Trail Festival program aboard the Katahdin featuring James E. Francis, Sr. and Jason Pardilla as they share Penobscot history, traditions, and the enduring connection between the Wabanaki people, Maine’s waterways, and the North Woods. Guests will enjoy engaging presentations, cultural storytelling, and an up-close look at a traditional birch bark canoe.

A National Historic Site, the steamboat Katahdin, more than any other remaining piece of Moosehead’s history, truly reflects the many eras, interests, and businesses of the region’s past and present. Built in 1914 by the young shipyard Bath Iron Works, the Katahdin was later converted to diesel. Now beyond her centennial year, she is the final link to a bygone era. Affectionately called the “Kate,” she’s a beautiful vessel and a step into the past. Book your tickets today!
